The Yablink way

Sending packages home shouldn't require a group chat and a prayer.

Yablink connects international students and foreigners in Turkey with travelers flying their routes — so goods move safely, at fair prices, with people you can trust.

Two kinds of people. One platform.

Whether you're flying with space to spare or need to get something home, Yablink works for you.

If you're a traveler
You have kilogram space. Others need it.
When you fly between Turkey and your home country, you often don't fill every kilogram of your baggage allowance. That unused space has real value to people who need to send goods. List your available kilos, set your price, and connect with senders on your route — before you even get to the airport.
  • List in under 2 minutes
  • Negotiate directly with senders
  • Earn from space you'd leave empty
If you need to send something
Find a trusted traveler going your way.
You need to get something home — food, documents, clothes, a gift — but you're not flying anytime soon. Yablink lets you post a request or browse travelers already listed on your route. Message them directly. Agree on terms. Hand over your package knowing who's carrying it.
  • Search by route and departure date
  • See who's traveling before you message
  • Pay directly — no platform commission at this stage

How a delivery actually works

From listing to delivery, here's what every transaction looks like on Yablink.

1

A traveler lists their available space

Before their flight, a traveler posts on Yablink: their route (e.g. Istanbul → Dakar), departure date, airline, and how many kilograms they have free. They can set a per-kilogram price or leave it open to negotiation. The listing goes live immediately and is searchable by anyone on that corridor.

2

A sender searches their route

Someone who needs to send a package filters the Yablink feed by route and date. They can see who's flying — when, on which airline, with how much space — without needing to ask around in a group chat. If a traveler looks right, they tap 'Message'.

3

They discuss and agree

Both parties message directly inside Yablink — in whatever language works for them. They agree on the weight, the price, the type of goods, and the handover logistics (where and when to meet). Everything stays on the platform. No phone numbers exchanged until both feel comfortable.

4

The sender hands over the package

Before the traveler leaves, the sender delivers the package to the agreed location. This is typically at the traveler's home, a mutual meeting point, or the airport terminal. The traveler confirms receipt on Yablink.

5

The traveler delivers at the other end

At the destination, the traveler passes the package to the recipient — often the sender's family member. This is the moment the whole chain was built for.

6

Completion is recorded on Yablink

The traveler marks the delivery as done on the platform. The sender can confirm receipt. Both parties build their on-platform track record with each completed delivery. Over time, this history becomes a trust signal for future transactions.

What kinds of goods travel through Yablink?

Informal shipping is built around everyday goods, not commercial freight.

Food & Ingredients

Spices, dried foods, traditional ingredients, and home-cooked goods that aren't available abroad. These are often the most emotionally significant packages on the platform.

Documents & Paperwork

Diplomas, notarized letters, official documents, ID copies, and personal correspondence. Travelers often carry these for community members as a favor — Yablink makes that favor findable.

Clothing & Textiles

Traditional dress, tailored garments, everyday clothing, and fabrics sent between family members. Lighter than food, easier to pack, and often carrying significant personal value.

Medicine & Supplements

Over-the-counter medicines, prescription supplements, vitamins, and health products that are available in Turkey but not easily sourced at home — or vice versa. Important: verify legal status at both ends.

Small Electronics

Phones, chargers, adapters, earbuds, small gadgets. These travel well and are often cheaper in Turkey than in the sender's home country.

Personal Gifts

Birthday gifts, holiday packages, care packages assembled by students for family back home. Often the most time-sensitive items on the platform.

What cannot be sent

Yablink is currently only for personal goods. The following cannot be listed or sent through the platform: illegal substances of any kind, weapons or dangerous goods, large commercial cargo volumes, undeclared cash or high-value valuables (above standard airline allowances), or any item that violates Turkish customs law or the customs regulations of the destination country. Travelers are responsible for knowing what they carry. Yablink does not provide customs advice — when in doubt, declare or don't carry.
